This is a new position, created as part of an exciting restructure to strengthen our management team and deepen our impact. Previously, a single full-time Programme Manager oversaw our Advice Services, Community Garden, and Community Engagement work. As our services have grown and become more complex, we are now splitting this role into two part-time positions to bring more specialist knowledge into the organisation. This role will focus specifically on leading our Advice Services and overseeing the monitoring, evaluation, and impact of our Advice and Open ARMs programmes.
Our Advice team enable our guests to address the underlying problems that led them to our Food Bank and wider services – such as benefit disruptions, housing problems and other financial difficulties. This role will provide expert guidance and strategic oversight to our accredited Advice Service. The Head of Advice will work alongside our Advice Manager to oversee our Open ARMs (asylum seekers, refugee and migrants) programme. This programme supports newly arrived refugees and asylum seekers access the housing, healthcare, training and jobs they need to build a new life in the community. We offer cultural trips, access to ESOL classes, support groups, orientation classes and events to improve integration and independence. We are a small, passionate team driving fast-paced programmes to meet our communities needs in Brent. We’re at the heart of the community in Brent, so you’ll see exactly how the day to day work will impact people’s lives.
